| Nomex | 500ºC | 932ºF | Inherently flame retardant and heat resistant with a tough protective coating which resists abrasion during the sewing operation |
| Kevlar | 220ºC | 428ºF | Good temperature resistance combined with superb tensile strength for easy machine sewing |
| Bonded Nylon | 120ºC | 248ºF | Tough coated thread with abrasion resistance, rot proofing and good tensile strength for lower temperature applications |
| Bonded Polyester | 120ºC | 248ºF | Tough coated thread with abrasion resistance, rot proofing and exceptional tensile strength for lower temperatures but heavier duty sewing operations |
