Kevlar is popular for its strength and durability when resisting heat. It doesn’t melt and can withstand temperatures up to 800 degrees, making it ideal for protective gear. 

PTFE Coated glass 

PTFE is highly resistant to heat, combined with PTFE coating to facilitate easier machine sewing. This material can withstand temperatures up to 230 degrees. 

Nomex 

Inherently flame retardant and heat resistant with a tough proactive coating which resists abrasion during the sewing process, withstanding heat up to 370 degrees. Rather than melting, Nomex chars when exposed to flames, helping maintain the integrity of seams in high risk environments such as motorsport and aerospace.

Bonded Nylon 

Bonded Nylon is a tough coated thread with abrasion resistance, rot proofing and good tensile strength for lower temperature applications. This material can withstand heat up to 120 degrees. 

Bonded Polyester 

Bonded polyester is heavier duty for sewing operations. It is tough coated with abrasion resistance, rot proofing and exceptional tensile strength for lower temperatures. This material can withstand heat up to 120 degrees.
